I'd have to throw away the whole camera just because the on button broke or the eject mechanism failed. When I edit the footage together, there is no difference in quality which makes it match up perfectly. Housatonic Racing Development is at Lime Rock Park. I have the Sony HDR-SR10 and when I try to install the Sony picture Utility it asks to connect my camera to the comp. This one uses my same accessories and I am already familiar with how it works. It was difficult to find a Camera in that price range that took a microphone shoe. Is the only solution to upload them BACK.

This is all very theoretical though, and I don't know how it would compare to the HDC-SD9, or your current JVC. Hi I am just about to get a new iMac in order to simplify my media life - first problem is getting all the HD video files currently sitting on my PC in the PMB files - I just cant drag and drop them to my external HD and then connect that to the iMac. Now I have a second camera to bring to the shoot to capture a different angle without shooting the same performance twice and editing together. Judging by the specs (1/2.9' CMOS sensor with 3.2 million pixels), the Sony HDR-SR10 uses the same sensor as the HDR-HC7, which is known to have a not so great low-light performance. This time around I got a refurbished one for only $200.
